Title: GTV6 Seats
Post by: AgeG on May 14, 2014, 02:32:24 PM
Hi There,
I need some advice with regards to the drivers seat in my 116 GTV6. The foam has started to disintergrate in the side bolstering in the upper and bottom parts of the seat. I am reluctant to bin the seat for another because I am fortunate to have a black interior that has not faded i.e. the fabric is in great nick.
Can the foam be fixed at all.
Also my sun visors have split, can these also be fixed?

cheers

Seat foams can be fixed, you'll never even noticing it had a problem originally if you take it too a good upholstery place.
My Recaro's  had bolsters that can't be bought any more. Tim at Sew Fine Interiors, https://www.facebook.com/sewfineautointeriors (https://www.facebook.com/sewfineautointeriors), fixed them up and they look brand new!

Visors can be retrimmed too, but may not be heat stamped edges like I think the originals had?

Hey Adrian,

Give Garry Blackman Trimming in Richmond a call. Their work is outstanding and Garry's worked on a few Alfa's before.

+1 for Gary Blackman. They did part of my 75 a few years ago and I have been very happy with the result. When I finally get around to recovering my door skins I will be going there.

There also a really good guy up the road from Hugh Harrisons work shop, really good work and priced really reasonable. Sorry can't remember the name.
