Title: '80 GTV - Ventilation toggle lever
Post by: kartone on April 10, 2014, 07:26:32 PM
The manufacturer's user manual does not indicate what it does ... Haynes dito.
Does anyone know what this toggle lever does when in down position and up position?
It is part of the ventilation system and when actuated a flap or damper can be heard changing position inside the airbox.

You need to contact the Italian Weather Institute, who can help you with all the symbols, the Alfasud ventilation was a complete mystery, until i found out what all the squggles and arrows mean, Colin.

It opens and closes the vents directing air to the footwells.

yep, down is for cold tootsies, up is for cold face.
Well, i say cold, i mean luke warm, well, i mean warmish, you get the picture. It blows down instead of up.

Yes, it is a simple flap that opens or closes allowing air to the feet. It doesn't affect the air flow to the face or windscreen other than reduced pressure. Down closes and up opens.
