Hi guys
I'm wanting to get some after market tail lights for my 2004 Facelift 156 2.0L JTS:

I know are a few different series of the 156 over a span of a few years and you can tell by the different designs of the front end, but I was wondering if anyone can indicate if there were changes to the tail light fittings between the different years/series?
Or do they all fit the same tail light unit?
The facelift (exterior) revision around '03 changed both the front and rear ends.
At the rear the tail lights which flick up (..../) now flick down (...\)
You will need new tail lamps and boot/tailgate to fit correctly
Your choice of rear lamps are hideous
Thanks for the details Craig.
And your opinion on my choice is also duly noted.

I personally didn't think that my choice of tail lights was overly abbrasive in appearance:

I guess each to their own, right Craig?
Its all subjective, I like them. I was toying with the same idea (black lexus style) for my daughters 147 which is slowly being pimped up ;D
For the daughter of Mr Cool Jesus:

;D
I think they're pretty hideous. ;D ::)
However, since the arrival of the 159 (many years ago of course), they are less hideous than before, because they are a little similar in design.
Still, I wouldn't put them on a 156. Too 'try hard', by trying to make the car different for the sake of it. :P
Ha, yeah yeah, each to their own! :-X 8)

Absolutely!!
( they're still hideous :) )
Do the make them for a update 166? ;D
This subject 'Bling Tail Lights' for Alfa Romeo, is being posted in the wrong column, it should be in 'Off Topic', - 'Stupid Car Accesories', this is one of the better subjects, its good that you gave it a kick along, as we were running out of things to laugh at, Colin.

::) Hahahahahaha! Well I'm glad that I've got the laughs going!
This idea is back on the drawing board any guys, as I realise my series 156 has the 'down turn' angle in the middle and I have to see an aftermarket version for this design.
I was really just trying to find something that was a little more clean cut than the standard red tail lights. I recently had new satin black rims fitted on and I thought the black housing on the tail lights would tie in better than the standard red tail lights.
It's not even the colour so much that's an issue, more the plastic hazed out look of the tail lights. I would even be happy to keep the red look if the fittings looked more crystal than hazed out:

Might need to look into some DIY options. Anyone come across any good tail light DIY's?
