Post by: John Hanslow on March 03, 2014, 01:22:33 PM
We are now in the final stages of organising our activities at this notable event.  So now just an update here for all to see.

The Club and our Club Members are participating in 4 activities on the weekend.
-  Shannon's Walk, here entry if you participate in the Club display;  only a few free tickets remain.  Refer Paul O'Connor for more details or just meet us there  if you arrive later in the day.
-  Annual Lunch on Sunday 9th March, Barry jumped in at the last moment to assist with this annual club activity -bookings closed.
- Round 1 of the Historic Race Championship, see our members do battle in Group S and N for the Alec Midren Trophy.
- Alfa Romeo Competition Marquee – Keep a look out for a selection of Alfa Romeo Competition cars will be on display near the pit area (if not on the track).

Club Members are invited to visit or Competition Tent and give a bit of support David Wright (our club  Patron).

Hev will be holding the fort for the weekend so if anyone wants to help him out while he gets a coffe or a bite to eat I am sure he would appreciate it.

I would like to thank David Wright for jumping in and organising the Club Competition Marquee on short notice, Paul O'Connor for organising the Shannons Walk display over Saturday and Sunday and also Barry Edmonds for volunteering to assist in organising the club lunch on the Sunday.

Some photos of the historic competition cars in our marquee.

Also special thanks to Mal Muir for assisting in the display logistics including site selection.  He was the first club member there to reserve a suitable area by the track for the club.

Cheers
