Title: 105 tyre pressures and fuel?

Hi All,
I just bought a 1974 gtv 2000 105. What is the right tyre pressure for them for general road use - car is yet to arrive but from memory it is on standard looking tyres?

Also, what is the right octane fuel to use - premium or unleaded? Last owner used premium but does this mean it was converted to run on unleaded/premium rather than leaded?

I put some air in my tyres the other day, 30 psi is suitable .Premium unleaded is better for an older engines like yours .There is an additive you can buy to give upper lube to your valves. cheers Jason

I have found the 95 octane to be the happy medium in my road car, it doesn't ping under load and it tends to give better economy than the 91 octane.  The additive is not necessary in Alfa's, this stuff was designed for the dinosaur technology cast iron heads that use poor valve guide's.

I'm running 32 psi all round on my 1972 Spider (185x70 tyres). A quick poll of other AROCA-Qld members a few months ago revealed 105 owners were running generally in the low 30s, unless they were doing track work, in which case they were running much higher.
