After 4 whole days without an Alfa in my posession in the last nearly 9 years after seeling the GTA, i picked up my new toy last night -
Fantastic Ed - looks great.
Looks very nice, very straight.
The Maserati in the back yours too?
Ed,
Your new GTV looks spectacular. The paintjob looks a little (!!!) better than on your last one. Do NOT ever sell it. This is one for the grandkids to fight over.
Thanks,
yes the paint actually exists on this one, although it is going to get a cut n polish over Easter including the bumpers. It has bee purchased on the basis of becoming a "keeper". As such it will remain fairly stock to look at (i've got a set of mags with 'R' specs that'll be on most of the time but come off for display days etc. The steering wheel is being replaced by a black and silver leather Nardi with matching gear knob.
The main work will be 10548 cams, PACE headers and a 2" exhaust system and electronic ignition. I would like to replace the seats with the black skai vinyl version and then the carpet but no hurry and it wont end up with a cage or be stripped.
The plan is for it to be an all rounder - club day, show n shine and mild competition - tarmac rally, sprint, regularity etc.
About to hop in and take it for a blast whilst the roads are so quiet
car looks great ed (pretty sure your going to need a cage if you want to do a tarmac rally though)
even for the low key, observation type ones they often run in conjunction with the proper events?
NICE GTV SITS WELL U SHOULD BE HAPPY WITH THAT.
rollcage requirement depends on what category you wanty to compete. not necessary for classic challenge (in a couple of weeks) nor targa west (if you enter the 'challenge' category)
