Title: dizzy cap
Post by: Colin Byrne on October 07, 2013, 02:15:29 PM
Just wondering if anyone can tell me the BOSCH part number for the dizzy cap that matches the early 105 dizzys, i think they are the one's with the steel body.  I seem to have some weird cross over dizzy with an aluminimum body that takes the early style cap and i having a hard time getting the Bosch part number for it, which is strange considering were i work....

thanks for any help

Colin, I've got an early Bosch JF 4 dizzy with 0 231 110 041 on an oval plate on the body of the dizzy. Not sure if that is a relevant part number for the dizzy or the cap. Barry

Colin, There are two caps that will fit that old steel body dizzy GB 72 or the later GB 739. Correct cap depends on whether the locating lug is on the cap or the body. Ring me if you need further explanation. Barry

thanks for the response
Barry, when i look up the code i get the GB 739, but this doesn't match my dizzy due to the locating lug being on the dizzy not the cap as you mentioned, i'll order one of the GB 72's and see how i go
cheers

Colin, the difference between the two dizzy caps is that the GB 72 has a cut-out in the cap with the locating lug on the dizzy body while the BG 739 has the reverse. Barry
