Title: Alfa 33 16V rear brake overhaul
Post by: ScottS on September 04, 2013, 08:34:17 AM
Hi,

I have a '91 33 16V that I have owned for 14 years. The rear brakes on it are in need of an overhaul. I am trying to source a pair of rear brake drum for it, but have not found a supplier that has them. Servicing the existing ones is not an option. The wheel bearing kit and wheel cylinders for it were relatively easy to get.

If anyone can help, that would be appreciated.

For the drums themselves, look on 'Alfa Romeo 33', on ebay or go to a brake supply group, i always thought that the 16valve 33's had disc brakes on the back, but what would i know..., i also heard that  the rear drums and shoes are the same as a Fiat...131 model?, don't snigger at 33 drum brakes, it gives you a good handbrake, Colin.
