i just couldnt help myself...
I knew i couldnt survive the imminent sale of my beloved 156 GTA and be Alfa less fo rany length of time, so...
... i am shortly to take delivery of a 1980, 1 owner, 118000 orig k's, rustfree, yes rustfree, Alfetta GTV 2000 and i am rapt.
Only a couple of pics so far but will take more once i take delivery. I was going to wait to post this once i had some better pics but i am that excited about it, i couldnt wait.
Will become the all-rounder that i have been yearning for - club comp - sprint, regularity, hill-climb etc but also club social and weekend driver and a keeper.
Only mods planned will be - 15x7 alloys on TOYO Rspecs, 10548 cams and a set of PACE extractors and maybe the interior if i can find a full black skai vinyl set and a sports steering wheel. Other than that, a good clean up. All rubbers and seals are good. New radiator and waterpump fitted. There is nothing required to be done immediately.
It does mean my search for a '68 105 is over for now (and realistically may never have reached a result that i could afford) but i have ALWAYS been a huge steel bumper 116 GTV fan over almost any Alfa.
So, anyone with a spare black vinyl interior, sports steering wheel and boss or any go-fast bits lying around - GTV6 front Brembo calipers, braided lines, 10548 cams and extractors let me know.
Congrats Ed, looks like it's in great nick too. Sounds like it will fit your needs perfectly.
One more thing, any reason for the Toyo over another brand?
really the only thing you can get over here - An Alfa club member is the main TOYO fitter over here (so kinda club rates) and just about everyone is on em and they are a good allrounder and cheap. Probably only a semi Rspec but i have had them before.
mmmm, air con. That'll keep you cool while yer battling to keep up with all the 105's.
Congrats Ed looks like a goodie.
Great news Ed....and great to see you in an Alfetta!
Looks in good nick.
the aircon will be coming out right away even if it is 40 degrees over here. The weight loss of the compressor far outwieghs the value of aircon in this car :) Beside's its got windows
