Scott,
It wasn't me , but that is a great drive . I have done it a couple of times in the 105 and usually the other way around . That is overnight at Bright. Morning tea/ lunch at Dinner Pain / Omeo. The country side around Cobungra is breath taking . Then on to Lakes Entrance then home. Best time of year for that drive in my opinion in November / December.
Looks like something Paul Edwards and the boys in the North East would organize

Hey Scotty,
I believe this guy used to post on the AlfaBB, might have spoken to him as he used
to ask questions about the GTV but it was a while ago, he might still post there, if its the same bloke.
Great drive which would be great to replicate and in a beautiful car, which coincidentally was my first Alfa.
Unfortunate about the valve issue but proof that you don't listen to dim bulbs
who don't know these cars and make assumptions, and the fact that these old Alfas are
mechanically durable. My Alfettas about to hit 230000 original kays and yet to leave me stranded.
PS Ill give you a call in case I need a lift home tonight ;) :D
Yep - living dangerously there Pep ;) I'm leaving work now just fyi....
what could possibly go wrong?
Yes !
Good news Scott it started!
Great story. Nothing like driving with a time bomb ticking, or not.
Still, good weekend road trip and something the club may look at in the .
The only issue is the Gippland part along the freeway, while direct and quick is a bit ordinary.
Otherwise start at Benalla and have lunch in the King Valley - then Great Alpine Road - sounds good to me and a worthy test of car and driver.
