You know Steve, it occurs to me that maybe you should put a roll cage in  :P

You got a bit closer to the wall than I did....

So now it makes sense, I remember driving by and thinking "how the heck did he end up on that side of the track so far up the straight?"

Was on r's, the rain came down while we were sitting in dummy grid. So no time to put wets on.

A more sensible run later in the day, once it had all dried up.

Interestingly, the weather today (Sunday) at PI was perfect.

I dunno Steve,  that looked like exactly what to do in the wet ;)

Here's my 2:10 PB.   Not blistering by any standard,  but pretty chuffed.    Trying out the RaceRender overlay linking the iPhone GPS and accelerometer logs (Harry's LapTimer App) with the engine datalog from the MS ECU.

I'm not sure what all of that means, but a great clip with some impressive data overlays. Plus 7 secs faster than last time & Philip Island. Great effort Scott .

Great video, Scott!

But is it Youtube or something else, but on my screen sometimes, it looks a bit "wavey"?  (And no, I haven't been on the vino!)

Hi Scott,
I don't go racing but that was a mighty exciting clip.
Very enjoyable. Great to see a Super outperform.
Best Regards
Phil

Thanks Victor,   it's interesting,  when I have the camera mounted by the suction cup and articulated arm to the door glass,  it's fine - but with the arm hard-mounted to the rear grab-handle screws,  I get those harmonic wobbles in the images.  It was the same with the iPhone mounted there...   Youtube normally cleans them up for me - but with the non-wobbly telemetry overlaid it confused the algorithm I think....

Need to work on the camera mount I think.  (and replace that duff driveshaft bushing.....)

Cheers Gully - appreciate it !   staggered me what a difference those tyres made...   Trying to stick with Tony's Super provided the impetus...

Great to see a Super outperform.

It nearly outperformed me a couple of times during the day....   Thanks Phil !

Funny you should mention that. Its going in for a cage on Wednesday. Word of warning to all, don't do the sprint before your rollcage goes in, its bad luck!
