Title: Broadford Video
Post by: Stephen Aarons on June 17, 2013, 08:55:51 PM

Enjoy this track so much. But so little room for error.

My efforts.  First time there, and what a brilliant track!!  Absolutely loved it; fun and challenging.  I really do like some good elevation changes (I'd watched a few vids before I went, but you really don't get a sense of just how steep the hills are).  Also my first go with an Alfasud; well, what a brilliant car!!  Perfectly suited to this track, that's fer sure.  Thanks Evan!!

Brilliant day and what a pearler of a track -   Had a blast trying to claw back some time on Tony's Super.    Trying being the operative word...       It was like the Italian job without those pesky minis...

Sheldon, thats how you drive a Sud...and don't ask me for a drive of my car, you can get stuffed. If I was Evan, that was your LAST drive.  LOL. Yes I saw the lap times.

Yep, 1:10 from the Sud, I think that just increased the value of Evan's car by quite a bit.

Hah, much as I'd love to take credit for a 1:10, that's a mistake from the hand-timing crew.  I managed a 1:14, and completely stoked with that.

Well I got one less run, and I had a cold, and a hangover, and John's crash rattled me, and...

Trust me if I was worried about my ego, I wouldn't let Sheldon anywhere near the car!  Tidy bit of driving there.  Not bad for 68hp.

Just saw Steve's vid on YouTube of John's sud coming off :-(

Hope John's ok?

It's a fun track, but definitely not much room for error.

John was quickly out of the car and is physically fine.

Here's a couple of my laps - not the smoothest or quickest, but I couldn't resist posting video evidence of the first and probably last time I've overtaken Bruno on a race track.  I didn't realise I was being a bit timid through the esses after John's little excursion.

A couple more laps in case anyone's run out of things to watch.  Black flagged at the end for being a naughty boy, I'm sure Bruno enjoyed that.

A few more of my laps, this time with some traffic, in both directions.  It's quite amusing being waved past by a car that is disappearing into the distance.

Hey Sheldon,
I like the yellow G force indicator on the side of the steering column!?.
Looks a lot of fun, might have to try and get over to an event there some time.
I was hoping to see some pictures of my old black GTV,did any one take pictures on the day?.
Cheers
Andrew

If you're wondering what it's like to go fast around Broadford, here's a video in an MX-5:

Good stuff Brendan. Was that with the front spoiler on or off . Also sounds like you are running a different exhaust system on the new car.
