Title: engine oil temperature
Post by: zippytheclown on May 26, 2013, 06:03:14 PM
has anybody else had the engine oil temperature come up on their multi config dash display?  I was cruising home tonight on the freeway here in Briz, sitting on 130kph, I looked down and noticed the display was showing "engine oil temperature" and a bar graph showing it to be about 100 degc.  No flashing lights or buzzers or anything, and dr google tells me 100 degc is not unacceptable.  I can't find any reference to it in my manual so I'm perplexed. Car is a GT 3.2

Thanks
Bill

I normally scroll through to it, using the end of the indicator stalk. Not sure it has ever done it by itself....could you have accidentally bumped the end of the stalk a few times to get to oil temp?

Mine normally sits at between 2 and 3 bars, I think the 3rd bar is 100 degs from memory? Maybe it is only 90.

Sounds pretty normal to me.

Cheers
Torben
