Finally ordered parts to get the Q2 on the 156 V6 done - was wondering if this is a good time to do the clutch and slave cylinder as well if it is still on the original (almost 200,000 km now).
Are there any labour savings to be had if done at the same time? I know the Q2 can be done via a 'hatch' in the gearbox - not sure if the clutch is equally as easy to access?
Cheers.
To do the clutch, you have to remove the gearbox, so if the gearbox is out, it would be easier to do the Q2, 200,000 klms from a clutch, you have to be happy with that, if the slave cylinder is in the gearbox, [like the JTS], just put a new one in, if it is outside the gearbox, then do it when it starts to leak or malfunction, Colin.
There is no significant labour saving doing the clutch just because you are doing the Q2. It would be a different story if the gearbox needed to be removed, but it doesn't
