Title: Alfa 75 rear spring spacers
Post by: Alfamania on March 26, 2013, 11:37:29 AM
Hello Alfisti,

I am looking at raising the rear of my Alfa 75 a little. Previous owner had it too low. So far i have raised the front to a safe level and now looking at doing the same with the rear. The springs have been compressed in the past. Could anyone please advise on rear height spacers? I just wanted to know the spacer clearance availability and where they can be bought from?  I am also missing the spring rubbers which sit at the top. I may be able to fit these on my own  :) Thank you guys

Cheers

I don't think i would bother / worry about spacers . A set of new springs is pretty reasonably priced.

Thanks Paul,

Would i be able to use the rubbers which sit on top of the springs?

I would assume so,I have got an old transaxle at home and the bottom rubber base plate mounts for the springs  still look fine after 30 odd years of abuse.

I believe there are rubbers that go on top of the springs so they dont allow for the springs to grind against the body rail?
