Ooooouch!!! Ray, that looked like a 75, was it the Falcone or Jacobs car. Really bad luck . That concrete wall is very un forgiving.
This was my photo as it happened, did a few crops so you can see. It was quite scary to watch!
Great shots Marisa.
From Ray's video it just looks like the car understeers off the track . Those shots explain why
Hope you are OK Justin, very scary equipment failure there.
How old were the wheels? I've seen it a few times on 4 spoke Fiat wheels, they are getting on 15 years old now.
Perhaps I will let Justin and Bruce elaborate once they get over their disappointment.
My commiserations to Bruce and Justin.
But another opportunity for another project and hope to see you back on track sooner than later.
I take it the driver is ok barring the associated disappointments as we aren't talking about them in the past tense :-\
Certainly highlights how important safety equipment is on the track considering the multitude of out of left field failures can send you into the unknown. Absolutely heart wrenching to see. Even more so for the guys that put in their time and effort to get the ad on the track. Hope the damage looks worse than what it is :'(

Hey Marisa did you end up putting the photos from the day online?
Geez i hate seeing that, 10x worse than driver error. On a reflective note, what type of wheels are they? are there cracks in the other wheels?
Justin will be able to confirm this, Some one told me that the brake caliper broke free of the mount and probably got wedged between the wheel spokes causing them to break, very nasty indeed.
