Just saw the ad that was shot in syd the other week, it is really good shows some real passion
Yes just saw it as well great ad, some old favorites there.

Has anyone found it on the net ? ie youtube ? If so could someone paste a link please.
Thanks, Frank .
The new Alfa Romeo ad is good, but not as good at the new Fiat 500 Abath ad, unfortunately.

Far too sexist for my liking as it shows women as sex objects, the person driving that Fiat is hooning and in Victoria they would have their car inpounded for 30 days under the anti-hoon laws, and it shows a car being driven in a dangerous manner, the add is suggesting that if you drive this car then your success with women will be without doubt, and the foam on the ladies upper region is making out that.....they have just had a coffee together and she is clumsy and has spilt froth on herself, but like the Arbath Tattoo on her, lucky we have whole Goverment Departments and Commities to protect us from this sort of depraved sort of behaviour, bet you don't see many Camry adds like this, Colin.
Colin... well said, and very amusing.
However, my take on the Fiat 500 Abarth ad is that the car itself is obviously the personification of an Italian supermodel (even though the girl in the ad is actually Romanian), and vice versa.
You will inevitably have (and enjoy) a fickle, love/hate relationship with such a car... just like any other red-blooded Italian automobile.
I agree that you will never see a Camry ad like this one... you'd need to swap the supermodel for a mild-mannered lady accountant... no offence to lady accountants intended :)... offence to Toyota Camry definitely intended :D
Here's the new ad:

V.nice.
Good ad, but Alfa Romeo living on past glories, but it is always nice to see the older cars that are part of the rich heritage, my god that new Guilietta is a great looking car, don't think about them much until you see one on the road, the last 20 years Alfa Romeo have had nicely styled cars that haven't dated too much, Colin.
That's a fantastic ad, I got shivers at the end there when you catch a glimpse of the arse-end of the Giulietta Spider. The whole ad gave me the warm-and-fuzzies, well done Alfa Romeo Australia.

Good ad, but Alfa Romeo living on past glories
Seems like a good (or the only) idea considering the recent history. And considering the probable target market for a Giuliettta, I'm slightly surprised they didn't put in a GTV6 somewhere.
Nice ad....would have liked to see a 105 coupe and a Giulia sedan....the 2 most popular cars aren't in it.
Beautiful visually....
Cheers.
What do you all think of this one (UK Alfa I think)

there is a strong link with the Australian add, for my money I prefer the Aussie one!
Cheers Nath
I organised all the classic Alfas in the new Alfa TVC shot in Sydney (2 of the cars are mine)
Originally, I was under the impression that the TVC was to be used in another market (Europe, UK, the States even)
and for a new car , the 4C perhaps , what else was there on the horizon ? I was surprised to learn it was going to be a local ad for the Giulietta.
Sheldon and GTV074, I agree with you both more recognised and iconic models (at least here in the Australian Market) should have been included and as the advisor I indeed put forward and suggested a GTV6, 105 Coupe and a Giulia Sedan first and foremost - although a classic spider of some sort had to be included as well were my thoughts.
The agency was pretty adamant though, they asked for specific models and specific colours (an orange Montreal was requested and then dropped late in the game) even though the ad ended up being produced in B&W.
I like it.......I hope everyone else is enjoying it as well.
Frank.
