What was he thinking! From the NZ AROC for sale page, contact details removed to protect the guilty:
1988 Alfa 33 very tidy condition custom 33, 1.7 8v motor all painted orange and matt black top to bottom. 155000km 17" mags, lowering springs and shortened shocks. orange pearl paint, black with gold pearl roof and bonet retrimmed door cards, custom bumpers full 2.5" exhaust from extractors. selling my toys to pay for my oe. and wedding! sad to see it go. bin an awsome car! had it for years.
Doesn't look that distasteful, I like the orange. I think the wheels are a bit oversized but that's a personal thing.

what's an "oe"?
outlandish enthusiasm?
It doesn't look too bad, two tone 33, and you get to cover up that gruesome crease in the back 1/4 panel, the ride would be horrendus, and any cracks in the chassis would be well and opened up by now, most likely get about $200 for it,...if anyone wants it, Colin.

Overseas Experience. Traditional NZ 2 year extended working holiday through Europe when you're between the ages of 18-25. I believe it's also common amongst Aussies, but possibly called something different?
My brother would love that thing! He'd probably whack a bonnet scoop and a wing on it though.
Ah thanks. 'working holidaymaker' was what we called it. That's what the visa for the UK was called.

Don't dob in your brother just because you can't admit that's what you would do to it - we have all seen your race car :)
In an NZ context it is encouraging - I was never sure if transition from V6 Zephyrs in house paint (with flames) and Morries held together with SRB* to whatever piece of Jap import detritus rolled off the boat that day was actually progress - this actually isn't so bad....
* An advanced composite material, Steel Reinforced Bog - its amazing how much difference the the chickenwire makes

Thanks Evan - so kind! Maybe I'll show it to Sam and get her verdict.... :)
I'm only 23 And I'm not a fan at all, I dot mind the paint job, but those wheels need to go.
