Title: 166 bush
Post by: shane1750 on January 28, 2013, 09:45:37 AM
Hi All
Can this bush be replaced? Alfa only show the complete bracket in the parts book (82486694)
It's a 166 V6 engine mount for the stabaliser bar.

If it comes complete and you can't find the bush chances are you won't be able to. If you find it make sure you have a good strong press and make sure you make a bracket so it goes in straight. Looks like you might need to buy the whole bracket.

Have a look on the Alfa 166 ebay site, also have a look at EB Spares and The Alfa Workshop in the UK, as for the 147 and 156, it is cheaper and less time consuming to buy a whole new part than to stuff around replacing bushes, you hardly ever see any bushes for sale for 147's and 156's, just complete suspension components, Colin.

You can buy that bush from the Spare Place or Turin imports in Adelaide , they list the bush as a seperate item.

You can buy bushes for 156 and 147 suspensions, but they are almost the same price as the component you are replacing, and you will need special bushing and press plate tools to replace it, Colin.
