Does anyone out there know the name of any products that are good to use to clean and treat a rusty fuel tank with?

Cheers

Hi Domenic,

POR15 makes a decent kit for restoring rusty old fuel tanks... see below link.

It's kind of a fiddly multi step process, but it's not complicated and the the results are good... at least with the Holden HQ ute fuel tank restoration I did a few years ago.

Regards,

Nick

Thanks Nick...you're a legend!
Actually was going to buy a couple of POR15 products later this week so will ask about it while I'm at the store.
Perfect timing...cheers!

Hi Domenic,

No problem... as mentioned, it takes a few days to complete the process, and it's best done during warm weather so that the tank can dry out between steps. We're certainly having plenty of warm weather at the moment.

Regards,

Nick
