Title: Victorian enthusiasts and register captains
Post by: John Hanslow on January 10, 2013, 11:07:46 AM
Last year was very successful one for the Vic Club registers.  We were busy with several EMR's, garage Visits, Workshops and Tech Nights etc.  Always a big issue and a bit of managed confusion on the day is Spettacolo.  I suppose that we may be a victim of our own success.

That said I am looking of volunteers, enthusiast etc to support or Register captains.  The volunteers are people who may have a real interest in their car and are willing to assist with small roles within the series or our club register.

For example I already have a person willing to be the representative for 105 Berlinas - in support of the 105 Register Captain.  Another person is willing to be the GTV6GP rep for the 116 Series.

Most register captains have reconfirmed their ongoing involvement which is most appreciated but we still have a bit to do.

If you are interested or know someone who is willing to get involved then please contact me.

You have my full support John.

The more support we have from the club and its members , the better things will run and we can organize events more efficiently !

so lets see a raise of hands from those who are truly passionate Alfisti , and help raise the clubs standards to the highest they have ever been :-)

Regards,

Martin Sifredi

Thanks Martin.

Ron Loccisano will assist with 750/101 and perhaps 2600's - see how we go.

Mal Muir will help also with 33's.

John, if you ae thinking of putting the 2600's in the classic register then why not also the 102 series and all versions of the 1900.  The 1900, 102  & 106 clearly share family characteristics whereas the preceding 6c 2500 cars have more in common with the pre war vintage models.

While I live in Tas, I do own both a 1900 and a 101 series and would be happy to help Ron in any way I could.

Cheers Dave

This puts a bit of clarity into the pre 105 registers and thanks for pointing it out.

Peter Shepard will run with all hsitoric and classic  up to post war 2500s.

Ron will run with the Giuliettas - 750/101 and also the 1900, 102/106 series.

More assistance and ideas the better.

Perhaps we will see some of these cars at a EMR or luncheon at a notable winery near Melbourne later in the year ?

.... and David, is the 101 the 1600 Zagato ?
