Does anyone have any experience of good waterproof and uv proof car covers for the 105? My circumstances have changed and for a little while my GTJ will be in the elements. Want to have the least worry possible while she is out there.

Thanks for any info.

The best car cover hands down in my opinion is the Stormshield car covers. You're looking at around the $350 mark and they come with everything including a fleeced backing, ultra tough yet flexible silverish outer membrane, clear panel for the rego, a lock and key setup for strapping down the cover and locking it - but also have a VW logo on them if that bothers you. I have one if you want to see it.

Edit- did some more up to date research and you have a lot of info here - looks like the US guys take this stuff seriously - as you should if your car is worth something special to you and it lives outside.

Thanks for the info guys. Did a search but had 105 in it so no joy.

I'll have a look around. Can't sleep at night knowing she's out there in the rain.

Alfaholics have one that they swear by. They say they use it on their cars and that UK weather is pretty bad...

Let us know which way you go and your experiences as there are a few of us with not enough undercover parking.

Thanks for all the info guys. I needed something quickly so went for the Autotecnica Storm Guard 1/182. The fit is good and the overall build quality seems good for the money with vents at the sides to allow it to breathe. The straps are a bit hard to get under the body but I think having a heavy bolt or something could be a help. Don't know why they don't make them black though. Silver seems like it might attract attention but that could just be the Londoner in me.

Thanks again. I can sleep at night.

QuoteThe straps are a bit hard to get under the body

I have one of the Autotechinca covers ,been on the car ( Alfetta GTV) for three years. I haven't bothered with the under car straps since the first time i used it.  It has enough weight in the cover and fits so well that it has never blown off or come loose in those three years to have to worry about the crawling around on your hands & knees to fit the under car straps.
