Competition dates updated.

Confirmed on a third PI in April which I am thrilled about.

Possible third Winton for 2012, I would like.

Makes 8 sprints, opinions?  Too many track dates?

I am biased towards Winton and PI, if you have not gathered.

Neil

Love it, the only thing could be better is if we can have PI before March Historics.

Frank Musco

Neil, your a legend! P.I in April is awesome.

And NO, you can't have enough track days, bring it on. Also I'm not bias, any race track will do. I'd also be interested in going to Haunted Hills for a hillclimb?

Cheers Musco

Since no-one else wants to take this.....As far as I know, most people decided that Calder was a shit boring track.   I believe the track is still active, but with 3 other excellent tracks to choose from, well......

I've never driven Calder, so can't confirm the boring accusation.

Neil, 3 PIs is freakin awesome, good work.

MD

OH I see. Thanks for being the fall guy Sheldon. I got fond memories of that place when I was a kid. Never been there as an adult.

Now that I've been done edumecated, putting Ken and motor sport together, would it be fair to say that going to Calder then is like racing for the shithouse?

Adds a whole new meaning to skid marks... ;D

I also dont mind Calder, good for a bit of variety....as long as it isnt wet, cos coming onto the straight with that drag racing goop on the ground in the wet is diabolical!

But the track hire fees  :o

Quote....coming onto the straight with that drag racing goop...

Aha, now it all comes back to me.

My buddy and me were spectating the drags at the end of the straight when this dragster's shoot didn't open and it went flying through the air smashing into pieces as it bounced around in the paddock and straight through the barbed wire fence still surrounding the ground extremities. Somebody yelled out, oh shit, there goes his head. It was a sickening sight.

Half and hour later we get a PA annoucement that the driver is in hospital with a broken thumb. We couldn't believe it. True story.

Ah Calder - who out there remembers the combined circuit??  Now that was fun!  Daytona comes to AROCA!
I reckon though that while the normal circuit is pretty simple and can be either hot or more often bloody cold, it's also a tricky little track to get just right.
