Here here !  For I recently test drove a 159 JTD.  Impressive torque and hugely solid feeling.  Different in many ways to my 156 JTS. How about impressions of ownership etc  :)  and then we can move onto your other beauties.  Dave

would have to say the 159 is the best built alfa yet - why they aren't selling like hot cakes is beyond me? especially for its price.
build quality and reliability are leaps and bounds ahead of the 156, as good as the competition i say. (i have had no issues what so ever, truly a brilliant car.)
the ride is smooth and refined, beautiful well screwed together cabin, the 2.2 revs freely when run in (15,000/20,000kms.) and handling is sensational, especially around bends...

my only issue? i will never buy a black car again - i'm forever cleaning the bella.

Your right about black 159's. I assume in WA your still able to wash your car . It's now a hanging offence here in Victoria
