Hi Team,

I notice when I was my car water leaks down the top of the windows & water also pools in my doors.
ALl the rubber seals look to be in place, any suggestions before I drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the doors?
thanks

Don't drill the bottom of the doors.

The doors have drain holes from factory, they will be blocked.

Clear those out and the water will no longer pool in the door (or pool less).

When you say the water leaks down the top of the windows, as in it is running down the inside of the glass from the top? If so, that is probably related to a hole in the top of the door that needs fixing (either a missing rivet or rust hole). Otherwise, as NSharpley said, the bottom of the doors have drain holes. I would suggest removing the door skin and inspecting the weatherproof plastic seal inside which should direct water down the door to the drain holes which are probably filled with gunk, along with the bottom of your door. The quicker you remove all the gunk and free up the drain holes the less rust you will have...

If water is coming in across the window seal at the top then its worth replacing the seal.  It may look like its in place but as they age, they go hard and brittle, have no flex in them to accommodate movement in the glass.   Silicone spray can give new life to rubber but if the seals are the original factory items then they're probably in need of replacement.

I had a friend next day complain of water leaking into the car. i suggested he clean the door seals. he carried this out and the leak stopped. i also suggested some lithium grease to keep the seals supple. careful of making too much and catching clothing.
