Lack of Alfa Romeo Service Centre

Greetings all,  My car is awaiting towing to Waterloo (McCarrolls) Sydney to work out the issue which stopped the car - a little grumble of warning - on the highway near our home here in Narooma.  The car was put in park when pulled to the side of the road, but now can't be un-parked.  This was a bit of a problem for the tow truck fellow who did his best to hoist the car onto his truck to bring back to our home.  Apparently the Canberra Service people don't do warranty problems now so only option is McCarrolls. Apart from being 5 to 6 hours away, this option does not make me happy. The car is still new-ish and under warranty.  Any advice re others who can deal - within warranty - with my car's problem?  TIA.
