Alfa 90 - Dash Dimmer

How do I get the dashlight/display dimmer panel out of the dash (GCL digi dash)?   My backlight dimming works, but the actual LEDs for numbers and guages seem to be stuck at full brightness.  I suspect the dimmer may have been dodgy so the rheostat has been bypassed.

Does the small panel simply prise out of the dash, or is more dismantling required?
