I'm after some advice.

I may be about to buy a 1957 Giulietta (750 series) and I need some advice as to who in Australia can rebuild the 1300cc engine and tunnel case transmission. I think the engine rebuild should be fairly standard but the gearbox could be tricky as it's not the usual split case design.

With thanks,

Try Hugh Harrison at Alfa repairs in Melbourne. both him and some of his customers have same vintage cars as the one you want to rebuild.

Thanks Pat. I'll contact him.

I may have also found someone in Sydney who can do the job.

Ditto to Hugh Harrison, (03) 9729 9942, you will be in the right hands.

If still looking for someone in Sydney, call Rob Panetta at Manning Motors (02) 9939 2069, he will be able to help too.

Both are fantastic.

No - mine is a straight but rusty hack at present and will most likely be a 2 to 3 year project. It requires a complete stripdown and rebuild.

If possible, please post a photo of the one to which you refer, I'd like to see it.

To those who have responded, I appreciate the advice.
