Momo Vega paint colour?
« on: May 14, 2012, 08:52:11 PM »
Hi All,

This could be a long shot but if someone can help I would appreciate some input. I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know the original colours (as in paint codes) for the Momo Vega mag wheel as seen in this attached photo of the yellow spider? There is a black (easy) and also a silver colour

2. Were they ever single colour ex-factory? I have seen ALL silver versions and even ALL black versions so am curious as these could just be user changes/variations.

I am refurbishing this very set in the photo of the spider. My previous attempt on the red GTV were ok but the silver seems different to the original and while nice, "not quite right".

I figured the general discussion thread was the most appropriate. Thanks in advance

Eeze here is a link to a resto article for the Vega. it specifies paint colors. It says they are original but not certain. A good basic DIY article as well.

http://reocities.com/motorcity/downs/3837/whlrest.html

As for different colors, there were a number of momo's that came in different colors but I don't think this one came in other than the charcol/silver ex factory. I suspects theres been after market but not factory.

Hope this helps

This does help thanks.....at the very least I now know the other colour may not be black but actually charcoal! Explains why mine look a little diffrent, I used black. Oh and I also learnt that those centre caps have been elusive for a while!

Appreciate the link...
