G'day All,

AROCA  Alpine Chapter would like to invite you to a Sam Miranda lunch experience. It’s our way of saying thank you to Sam and his team for the great support the Alpine Chapter receives from them. Sam backed us from day one.  The first to support one of the clubs regional chapters, and l know all the members have thoroughly  enjoyed his product.

After lunch a short 5minute drive to Milawa, via the Snow Road to explore and wonder around one of the best little gourmet regions in the North East of Victoria. We can wrap it up at Milawa or take a scenic drive to The Stanley Pub via Beechworth.

The Stanley Pub is about 10mins up the road from Beechworth and is a really nice little drive out. The region is old Apple orchard growing country, set high in the hills, making for a very pretty little drive. Depending on numbers and people we can have a group dinner in Beechworth or just wrap it up here, the afternoon is very informal with the above just an idea. This is designed so that the ladies can enjoy some time in Milawa, Beechworth and if time and people feel like a drive a sort trip out to Stanley.

How to get there,
http://www.sammiranda.com.au/home/index.php?option=com_contact&Itemid=3

If coming up from Melbourne take the SNOW ROAD as if your going to Bright. Sam Miranda is in Oxley, you wont miss it.

The Canberra people pretty much the same way. Hope you can make it down Peter, Helen and co.

Every one is welcome, you don't even need to be a club member, so if you have been think about coming along you are most welcome to join, even if you drive a Jaguar ;) ;) ;) ;D ;D ;D and are from Queensland :D :D :D

Cheers Paul

Hi All,
Thanks to everyone that made it for lunch yesterday, a great turn out.

Sam (thank you) provided us with a complimentary glass of his fantastic Prosecco, what a lovely drop it is to, very addictive. (See link.) We all sat down at around 12.30pm and emerged at a little after 3pm, it was a first class experience of culinary delights, lots of talking in between on everything and anything , planning for "Le Tour De North East" Alpine drive was one topic.

Great to see all the Alpine Chapter crews, all up 17 at the table. John Hanslow made it up from Melbourne as well, and a new family from Shepparton made it along in their 75ts.

Quick update on ”Le Tour De North East” Alpine drive. :o :o :o :) :) :)

WHEN……. Early September, probably on the second weekend the 10th and 11th to be confirmed in a few days.

WHERE….  Based from Historic Beechworth this time, with Graeme gtv6 mapping, planning out Saturdays stage one, and myself mapping out Sundays stage two, which will take us over the Warby ranges past the beautiful Conola fields in full bloom and wrap it all up with a trip to All Saints winery for lunch. Some very contrasting country indeed.

BOOKINGS Essential……. Taking only 15 cars Max. Contact me paulgtvedwards@bigpond.com  to confirm your spot or post on the forum. New info on Le Tour will go under the "Le Tour De North East" topic under the Alpine Chapter heading.

Cheers Paul

A few photos from yesterday, sorry no people pics, forgot to take some :(
