No PI in Feb

There was a chance of PI in March 29 Saturday but would seem to be lowly attended so went with March 30 Sunday Winton.

Note also Aug 10 Winton, not 17.

Please let me know of opinions of PI March 29, perhaps I can get that date back.

PI is getting harder and harder to get dates.

Winton March 1 and 2 is no more for this year hence no race craft due to a terrible mix up in date allocation.

Sandown Sept 14 is pencilled in but not confirmed until the horse racing calendar is fixed.

I've just looked at dates and since there has been criticism in the past, it should be noted that there are NO MSCA events on the same days as our events. There is one MSCA event at Calder a week before our May 25 Sandown, but this is hardly competition for us in terms of entries. MSCA are showing a potential Sandown event in September, but we're both in the hands of the VATCC. There are also no conflicts with V8 Supercar rounds (esp Bathurst).

It should be noted that the SA 6 hour fits nicely between our May Sandown & July Philip Is.

The Maserati Club spring Sandown event is penciled in for the same date as our 6 hour.

Overall it looks like a good calendar, except I personally would vote for an additional Winton event to replace the driver training event. I see that MSCA are listing a driver training / sprint on March 1/2. Was this ours and they are behind - or did they beat us?

PS

I noted that the Maserati Club's PI entry fee is $300 ($275 early bird) - just for reference.

Hmm,

March 30, I'll probably still be on the way back from Alfesta!

But maybe...
