Hi,

Hopefully this is my last question in my search for my Alfa :D

just wondering if all the Twin Spark Monzas came out with a Bose system as standard?

I assume the audio quality is good?

The specs suggest it was an 8 speaker system - so I assume no sub mounted anywhere?

Hope you might be able to clarify for me.

As far as i know, [thats not much], the standard 147's and 156's had a Portugugese built Blaupunkt as standard, then the next step was a Bose system, with a CD changer in the boot, the Bose systems sometimes come up for sale on ebay, don't make it your last question, keep em coming, Colin.

Lots of questions ... looking at buying the 147.... but a few steps closer. They are just rare (the model I want!).

Cool Jesus

I've bought one of those systems of ebay that came out of a 147. If it was fitted with a bose system it wil have a sub in the boot. If you do come across one it will be on the left side (I think???) as you look into the boot, behind some carpeted facia with BOSE embossed into it. Lifting the facia will reveal the sub and amplifier attached the the vented plastic enclosure for those bass waves to pump out of...

Thanks Mr. Jesus, thats the sort of info we are after, when the Bose system is installed, tell us how you go, and a few pics, Colin.

Thanks for all this. I've been checking out the Web and i don't believe the TS Monza 147 came out with a bose system as standard. It must have been an option.

From what i see in various photos if the tweeter grill does not have bose on it then the system is a stock audio system.

No Monza versions i see have Bose on the grill.

Hi Frangutz,

When the original 147 was released the Selespeed version had the Bose system and the manuals didn't, not sure on the later facelift versions or the Monza. I remember when we were looking at buying a 147 in 02/03 the original brochure listed the Bose system as standard on the Selespeed. Think it was 8 speaker from memory. If it's any consolation the standard system in the 147 sounded pretty good for a stock set up at the time.

Yes the easiest way to tell is by the Bose badges on the speaker grills and as said by CJ the amp in the boot.

Cheers
Pep
