75 TS oil leak

Hi all

My newly acquired 75 TS is brilliant, I love it and can't wait to get it onto a track.
The motor enjoys a fang, the handling is nimble and the steering precise.

The only thing that is worrying me is an engine oil leak from the lower rear of the motor. The sides of the motor are clean and dry.
The oil ends up dripping from the passenger side chassis rail (excuse my ignorance if this is called something else).
I think it is dripping onto the cross piece (once again excuse my ignorance) between the 2 rails, and running onto the side rail.
I hope this makes sense.

I am under no illusion that I will be able the fix this myself, I guess I would just like to get a sense of what might be involved to fix it.
If I had to guess I would say it was either a seal at the rear of the engine, or maybe a sump gasket.

Any better educated theories?

Cheers
Alan

Thanks Paul, sounds like I need to start saving a few dollars.

As soon as I get a chance I will post some pictures.
I might be a little biased, but I reckon shes a beauty! Straight body, nice paint, nice interior.
The elderly Italian gent who previously owned (and loved it) spent over $4K on mechanical repairs in the last 12 months, I have added another $1500.
Just need that oil leak fixed and I reckon I will have a pretty sound car!

Sadly the Italian gent bought an automatic Fiesta but hey, he was over 85!!

Cheers
