I am pleased to advise that AROCA (Vic) annual Spettacolo 2011 Concourse and Show'n Shine is now confirmed and will be held at a new location on Sunday 30th October 2011.

The address is:
Wesley College Front Oval
577 St Kilda Road
Melbourne, 3004.

Start Time:9.00 am, Judging at 11.00 am. Awards presentation 1.00pm.

The event has been run most successfully over the years and we now expect up to 250 Alfa Romeo's to be present on the field.  Following last years Centenary and the popular '100 Year Walk through History', we again expect and look forward to viewing a selection of historic vintage and classic cars displayed by many interstate AROCA members.  This year we will have maximum exposure on one of Melbourne's premium boulevards  with a larger field giving us a the opportunity for a higher quality display.

Accordingly, the Club invites interstate members to participate and we even have a Show 'n Shine prize for the best vehicle displayed by an interstate member.  We again will be holding a Spettacolo Dinner on the night before to welcome interstate and country members, judges and friends to Melbourne.  This adds to the enthusiasm and makes for a rewarding weekend.

This years theme will be a 'Celebration of Open top Motoring' and this will cover some great designs over time.  A similar historical walk will be held featuring the development of the Tourers and Spiders over time.

So we look forward to an interesting display of Spiders in addition to all the other valued cars displayed on the field.

This year we will meet our regional members so it is a change for the Victorian Club to get together.

Also interstate members are welcome to come to Melbourne for a rewarding weekend with other Alfisti !

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me direct on 0409-961-719.

More details will be provided in due course.

The site is confirmed.

Looks great.  We will have a few extra options here with better displays, more exhibitors and services on site.

Besides a Historic Display of open Top Motoring - we expect a few interstate visitors with notable cars and a hospitality tent set up by our rehional Alpine Chapter.

Keen interest has already been expressed in attending the Historic and Concorso Dinner the night before.

The only car we are missing is an ES30 - RZ - any one know of one being imported in the near future ?

Two possible Settacolo additions:
- Car Boot Sale Arena for Club members.
- Car Sales (as per vehicle class on field).

A fee would be charged for the opportunity.

Cheers

Well, a lot is happening in Melbourne that long weekend but that should just add to the excitement.

We may actually get a few more interstate guests who are down for the Cup and visiting family.

Colin, how aboyut something like this....

Indications to date of possible Spettacolo additions:

1. Car Boot Sale $20 per car - have Club 'bargain line'.
2. Cars for Sale $20 per car - have them dispersed on the field with usual registers.

Let's see how we go.

for non-members.....

Note> I have nothing to sell at Spettacolo, I just think this is the sort of thing that should be one of the benefits of being a financial club member.

I agree that it should be free for financial members.
We occasionally had "for sale" signs on cars and I do not believe that we charged for it.
20 bucks may be little bit rich though, maybe $5 or $10 would be enough.

I also agree that absolutely no commercial outfits should be allowed unless they are sponsors of the event.

colcol

$20 per car and boot sale, cheaper than listing on ebay, and you might go home with a pocket full of money and all your goods sold, Colin.
