Great footage Martin, back in the good old days when Alfa Romeo used to race cars, how good was group A?, ALL manufacturers could get involved, with any car and the more powerfull it was the more weight it had to carry and the quicker it would run out of brakes and tyres and the more nimble and better handling cars such as Alfa Romeo would come to the front, notice the slack safety standards of the day, no nets, so your limbs would fly out the window in an accident and the roll cages were made of 12mm water pipe, barely adequete, but the cars, no oversize tyres or spoilers and the cars actually used to slide and move around on the track, but sadly the Falcans and Commodores didn't do much winning and the knuckle draggers were getting angry, so Mike Raymond had the rules changed, "banning turbo's", as he called it just like in Formula 1, and any opposition to the local V-8's!, so then we had Taxi racing between 2 makes that bore no features of production cars, so nothing would break, for Christ sakes, in 2013 they are going to let the taxis have transaxles, when was the last time did you see a transaxle on a Falcan or Commodore?, Alfa Romeo's had them on Suds and Alfettas about 40 years ago!, go back to Group A, you betcha!, Colin.

Hi guys, some of us even remember Group C which had even a greater variety of cars competing including 105s, Alfettas and GTV6 fetc,
ighting it out with Ford Escort, Geminis, Volvo360  etc. Current stuff doesn't do much for me.
