Hi all

Can someone fill me in on 75 wheel types.

I am thinking that early models TS and 2.5 had 14" alloys (same as late model 8v 33)
Later models had 14" steel wheels with plastic trims?
3.0 cars had another wheel type?

Cheers

Not sure about steel ones? But there was a 15 x 6.5" alloy that was I think an option and then supposedly on the V6 only if I believe the handbook (I have a set on one of my TSs but proly not original fitment, other one has the 14" alloys you describe).

Hi Alan

My 2.5 had 14 x 5.5 (ET45?) wheels originally, TS I think had 14" steel wheels as standard, and the 3 litre had 14"x6.5" with less offset. The 33 wheels you mention look the same but are 4 stud of course.

Scott

Hey Alan,

From what I know

2.5 had 14 x 5.5 alloys
TS had 14 x 6.5 steel wheels with hubcaps
3.0 & 2.5 Auto had 14 x 6.5 alloys same as the 5.5 inch ones but deeper dish and more negative offset.
3.0 Potenziata had 15 inch alloys not sure if 6 or 6.5 inches wide. Only model with factory 15 inch wheels.

There were a lot of dealer fitted 15 inch mags such as MMiglia etc

The alloys were optional on the Twinspark and Ive seen both types 14 x 5.5 and 14 x 6.5 however I reckon the
6.5 inch wide ones were for cars with the body kit with flared arches. That is Twinspark, 2.5 Auto and 3.0.
Theres a few Twinsparks going around with the 5.5 inch wide alloys but they don't look right.

Tyre size for all 14 inch was 195/60 R14 and 15 inch (Potenziata) was 195/55 R15

Hope this helps

Cheers

I remember (in 1998) when I bought my 1991 75 Twin Spark off its original owner (hi Bill M!) and it was running the 14 x 5.5 Alloys off a 2.5. The steel rims came with the car and I even got the original hubcaps which I understand were expensive and had to be secured with plastic ties if you didn't want to lose them.

I tracked down a set of the 14 x 6.5 alloys, had them cleaned up and clear painted and put them on. It absolutely transformed the car, best thing I ever did. I think they are still on the car – 10 years after I sold it!  :)
