you should just need a spanner or socket to do it i think its a 32mm size but not sure will have to check it.
i have just done oil, filter and coolant for $70 its a dam sight cheaper that getting someone else to do it

I think it's 1 1/16"AF from memory; newer cars are different. Dehne's quite right - it's worth doing the job yourself.

You mean a year 2000 spider and not a 2000cc spider?

thanks all, much appreciated..  yeah its a year 2000 spider.. my brother went under the car yesterday to do it for me and he said that he needed some kind of an alan key or something to do it...  a socket/spanner couldnt do it..  im gonna check it on the weekend and see..  still not 100% sure what it is.. Love my alfas but geez they can get a bit annoying at times.

Think it is a 10 mm allen key.   Maybe 12 mm.  Can't remember now.

Either use a L shaped allen key or get one with a socket, either will work.
