Changing belts

Can I do my timing belt like this?

cannot see why you carnt but you will need 2 people to do it i think let me know ill do mine at same time

I've spent many long hours working on VW's but never changed the belt like that :-)


Don't think I ever will either.

I sure my video would end up with a screwdriver embedded in my shoulder and a finger or two spinning around on the garage floor - ouch.
