Okay,
I've had the historic bug since my childhood when attending racing, hillclimbs, sprints etc with my Dad. I have been considering building a group S car for some time and confess i did want it to be a bug eye sprite for some time as this is what my Dad competed in.  But i have the Alfa bug instead well and due to cost it had to be a GTV for me.

More recently i crewed for the Goundrey GTV @ Historic Sandown last week and finally bit the bullet...The " Yellow Peril Group Sc GTV project is officially launched.  Even my wife is supporting me so far :o

I secured the car this week and it is currently with Bruno @ Maranello having some basic work done so i can put it on club plates as it will do regularity for the first year or so and with a stock motor.  My aim is to have it ready for March 2007 Phillip Island historics.

As soon as i can get the photos small enough, i will attach them.

Basically the car itself is rust free, straight and only requires a few cosmetic items to get it ready- drivers side door handle, right side instrument stork, fuel cap, rear door skins and eventually a new steering wheel, seats, front spoiler and a set of mini lites.  Oh and the engine is down a cylinder so pending investigation will determine what is required there.  The head has been worked and it has a set of purpose built extractors fitted. Paint is okay but flaky in soem areas so will be re done over time.

Wish me luck - Fast Eddie Racing

Thanks.  Yeah that's the extractors built by some engine guru dude apparently and set up that way so they dont get crushed under the car through lots of kerb hopping.  The Goundrey Sc GTV has the same set up.

The car looks good to go!  You are a shoe in for PI in March.  Looks fantastic.

Not quite ready to go but fairly close to potentially have a start in the regularity @ P.I. in March.

As soon as the engine is a going concern and the car is registered, i will start on obtaining Sc compliance approval and entering the event.

Even Bec likes the colour and unsurprising to many, prefers it already over the mighty 888 sprint ::)

Hmm.. I might be wrong but, from what I can see in the picture the port exit angles of #1&2 are seriously BAD!!
It looks like a case (another) of somebody who has spent lots of time and effort to cut and weld tubes but has no  understanding of basic gas flow dynamics . See the Jim Kartalamakis book for some  good diagrams of exhaust port exits. I would bet money that a set of stock Alfetta iron manifolds with 1-3/4" secondaries attached would work better than these......short 4 into 1 designs are not good off slow corner apexes with a relativey heavy car either. Sorry Ed, but those stylish seats must be worth at least 5bhp!!!!
