I have just got a new 'toy'  - its a 1989 1.7L Alfa 33 IE.  As the 155 Q4 is taking longer than planned to 'reassemble', I decided that I need an 'emergency relief vehicle' for when the 155 Q4 is indisposed.  Expect to see the 33 at Sandown (probably mostly in your rear view mirror..).  YAY Standard Class!!!!!  Thanks to Ray P for making it go!

cheers, jim~

no such thing as too many toys right? I'll be sure to point this one out to mum when she starts arguing over why ANOTHER Alfa just appeared in the back yard...

No need to thank me Jim I do what I can where I can. Mind you if you are faster at Sandown the what and where will be sabotage.lol.

Awesome Jim!  A Trofeo contender (although I think we seem to have forgotten about that).  Just need to get Scott Farquarson into a boxer and life will be grand.

Please try not to embarrass me too badly at Sandown in your standard road car...  ::)

Well, its in Bendigo now, anyway! I am going to disconnect one of the plugs  - thus making it a 1275cc - so that I can compete against Branko in Standards class! Lets hope there are at least three of us!

I think the committee covered this in section 13b 'random and capricious regulations'.

"any driver with the initials J and N will be restricted to tyres of zimbabwean manufacture, will incur a capacity penalty of 4.5, and immediate promotion into v8 supercar class."

Might as well bolt that turbo on the 33, Jim :-)

From memory, 13b also allows tyres from Botswana!

Now that would be capricious.
