Check out our sponsors page and ring around.

If you have an eye for value, then join the club as some Alda Specialists offer a discount to members.

But you will be surprised at results, and dehne said, depends what has to be done in addition to the basic service.

Cheers.

Do you service your GTV at an Alfa dealer, Alfa specialist or an independent garage?

Just had my '03 JTS Sportwagon serviced.  Scheduled service, via a Alfa Specialist (non dealer) mechanics and it cost me $200.

I have it serviced at an Alfa Specialist, the dealer service is about $100 more. The mechanic I use also knows my car's fulls history as I bought it off him.

I will say though that i had excellent service from the Alfa dealer the other day. My Airbag light was on from me accidentaly disconnecting one of the wires on the seatbelt tensioners. I rang them up and they said just pop in and we will reset it. They did no problems and no charge. If my mechanic disappears I will have no problems going to the dealer instead.

An important point is that you would prefer to buy a car with a service history, so you wouyld thuis continue with some form of regular service by an Alfa specialist to keep the car going as it should.

That way we avoid belt, variator, water pump and other non service issues.

Cheers.
