Alfa 147 rough idle identification

2004 147 ti manual

Hey crew,
Just looking to pick your brains a little, my 147 has pretty rough idle.
I've been told they are notorious for the timing belt going so just curios if this video and the engine sound would indicate that before I open her up.

It could be any number of things from one of the three Belt Tensioners clacking away to bottom end bearing shells, could also be a Clutch Thrust Bearing, can't tell you anymore with the clip provided.

As for you friend in the video clip mentioning the fragility of the gearboxes . . . . God knows what he was doing to the car to do in two gearboxes but you'll find they are extremely reliable and trouble free. You've REALLY got to try hard to make one fail, so drive with confidence, they are not normally an issue . . . . ever.
