Hi All,

In middle of running gear overhaul. I have done unis, centre bearing, hat spacer, donut etc on my propshaft but cannot seem to find any lead on the spine shaft seal. Image shows the sliding section of the shaft, as you can see everything has been indexed and marked so will go back together correctly

The original that basically self destructed upon disassembly looks to be a felt/fibre seal, but some initial research reveals there are caulk versions for some cars (see attached image).
Has anyone replace theirs or found a suitable solution or have a spare that they'd be willing to sell?

My spline is in excellent shape and has no slack/slop so not looking the replace the rear section.

Thanks in advance

Just a felt washer that fits into the collar, and is a snug fit on the plain, un-splined part of the shaft will keep the grease in & the grit out. This is the most common type used.
You used to be able to buy a range of these at any bearing service sales counter. Take in the collar & yoke for test fitting options. And don't mention it's an Alfa Romeo...the sizes are just standard auto industry use, nothing special,
no need to complicate the situation.
Otherwise, source some felt pad and cut out a washer yourself.
