This 1999/2000 Alfa Romeo "Millenium" spider convertible is offered to any enthusiast as a project car. Finished in Alfa's "Blu Vittoria", this is number 49 of only 100 Millenium Spiders marketed in Australia.
Two years ago, after extensive work was completed including a new exhaust system and two new tyres, the car suffered a broken main bearing and has been stored under cover since.
The owners have sourced a replacement 2.0 Twin Spark motor in good condition but this has not yet been fitted.
The car and engine with a complete set of Alfa keys and specialised torx drivers for the sump are being offered for sale as a project that would suit an enthusiast as the current owners do not have the skills and equipment to fit the replacement engine.
Prospective buyers should be aware that they will need to trailer or tilt tray the car from Wynyard, Tasmania (around 45 minutes by road from the Spirit of Tasmania terminal in Devonport) as well as load and transport the replacement engine which is currently crated for shipment.
Price is very negotiable as we would like to ensure that this much-loved convertible finds a new home where it will be brought back on the road and enjoyed as only an Alfa can be.
