Hi to all,
I have an Alfetta GTV 4 cylinder car that I converted to v6.
I have a v6 transaxle fitted and the Isostatic Gear rod I have is off an Alfa 75 which is longer.
Does anyone know the length of the Isostatic Gear rod to suit an Alfetta GTV 6.

I have a few different spare gear rods (3 or 4 IIRC) at home I can measure but I can't be 100% sure which is from which car! Would the measurements help or just a random number without surety over which model they are from?

Hello AlfAAA,
I've just measured one at approximately 782mm from end to end just with a tape measure.
However, like GTVeloce, not 100% sure if it's from a GTV6 or 75.
Definitely isostatic!

I suspect the difference between the 2 lengths to be significantly different so just measure yours and compare.

Hope that helps

Thank you tuf105, Yes your measurements are spot on for my GTV.
I can select gears, Car is just about finished.  :)

The isostatic GTV's have a different floor, the later model cars use the floor from the Alfa75 underneath they are very different from the earlier cars. To properly fit the isostatic linkage system to your car you will need to modify the floor to make room for the linkage. You could use the earlier lever system by changing out the input selector shaft. the earlier model uses a splined shaft that the lever type system slides onto, the isostatic uses a straight shaft with a hole drilled into it to fit the iso linkage with a roll pin.  The iso static input selector rod is the same for GTV6 and 75

Thank you TEE Z2,
I did do the floor mod neatly when I had the body shell bare metal years ago.
Regards :)
