Learn how to clean your shark apex uplight vacuum

Using a vacuum to clean your household is easy, especially if it's a convenient model like the shark apex uplight vacuum. But many people think cleaning the vacuum is not as easy. That's why I'd like to introduce the cleaning process for your favorite Shark apex uplight vacuum, and trust me: it's not that hard. So let's jump right into it.

First thing first: safety

Remember to unplug the power cord before doing any maintenance, even if you just want to empty the dust cup. Keep the lift-away port of the shark uplight attached to the wand when you take out the dust cup. That's why it's important to unplug the machine to prevent accidents. To only take the dust cup out, slide the dust cup release latches and pull the dust cup out. Then, you can either use the top or bottom door to empty the trash. When you're done, put the dust cup in its place and check to see if it's firmly attached.

Clean the filter

An essential way to keep your Shark apex uplight duoclean always working strong is to clean the filters. So let's learn how to do that.

  • With the pre-motor filter, first, remove the dust cup. Then take out the filter frame. Pull the foam filter out of the filter frame. The felt filter is attached to the frame, so you don't have to remove it. Wash both filters with cold water only, no soap or cleaning liquid included. After that, leave them out for air-dry at least 24 hours before reassembling. You should clean the pre-motor filter once a month and replace it every 2.5 years.
  • With the HEPA filter, first, press the cover latch and pull off the cover. Then push the tab on the front cover to remove the HEPA filter. Wash the HEPA filter with cold water without any cleaning chemicals. Before reassembling, make sure the part is air-dry completely. You should clean the HEPA filter every year and replace it with a new one every 3 years.

The most important thing is to make sure everything you wash is completely dry before reattaching them. You don't want left-over liquid drawn back to the machine and ruin your shark apex uplight corded lift away.

Clean the duoclean brushrolls

Thanks to the self-cleaning brushroll, you don't have to care about hair wrap because the machine will remove them automatically. But if there are any stubborn hairs still remaining, turn off your shark apex uplight and remove the brushroll cover from the nozzle. Then, carefully use a scissor to cut and pull out the hair. If it gets too dirty for the soft roller, remove it by sliding the eject roller button. After that, tap the soft roller to shake out all the debris or use a dry towel to wipe them away. If you feel like washing the soft roller, make sure to use only cold water and let it air-dry completely before reattaching. Don't forget to clean all the debris that is stuck in the teeth behind the soft roller as well. Keep the soft roller cleaned regularly for the best performance every time.

Now that you know how to clean your Shark apex uplight duoclean vacuum, it's not so hard, isn't it? So try to keep a maintenance schedule to help your vacuum always be in good shape.

Hello,
The precise model, year and chassis number on the engine bay firewall is a good starting point & maybe something might be on a register.
