Windscreen replacement
« on: November 20, 2021, 09:56:56 AM »
Windscreens O'Brien have quoted $1750 for a non OEM windscreen for my Giulia yet autoglass warehouse will sell me one (unfitted) for $415 https://www.autoglasswarehouse.com.au/alfa-giulia-4dr-5-2016-ws-rain-sensor-acoustic-ada Basically $1300 for fitting and calibrating the camera. Does this sound normal? What options can anyone suggest for fitting a windscreen if I buy the glass?

I have purchased a couple of screens from auto glass with no issues they have a few warehouses around the country that they use for pickups. If you dont have a pickup in Yass I'm sure there would be one in Canberra. I think any windscreen installer would install a screen you bring to them, but they probably won't accept any liability if it breaks while they fit it. Maybe a few phone calls to installers to see their attitute to installing a screen they didn't supply.

Thank you, they have a warehouse in Canberra, and I'll see what better deal I can find for fitting and ADAS calibration.
