Hi All,

I'm reluctantly moving on my 147 GTA. Its a tight squeeze in my garage (per the pic) and in the coming weeks I'm likely to run out of room.

It was my daily driver for a few years. I retired it from those duties a few years ago. It has been a great car. many people discount the selespeed, but the GTA selespeed is far superior to the ones on the 2l cars. I know because I've owned both. I find the selespeed the more rewarding drive. hands stay on the wheel and you get to choose the gears. I never ever drive it in auto mode. The car is now 15 (Fifteen!) years old. Wow. A classic in the making, no doubt. Its not perfect, but it is an honest car. Best driving car in my garage, no question at all about that.

Its a 2005 147 Monza Selespeed.
circa 145km, purchased at around 60km in 2009.
Full service history and work completed by Maranello Pursang
it has the following features:
Xenon headlights
black/tan interior
aluminium sump guard
q2 diff
kw v2 coilovers (adjustable, set to comfort for me and standard ride height. big improvement over standard)
strut brace to improve the typical 147 chassis flex.
OEM ipod connector (upgraded with lightning connector dongle)
OEM cd changer still under passenger seat (never used by me)
probably more that I've forgotten about now.

Body in good condition except the following:
bonnet has a stone chip and the clear coat has lifted around it. Needs a respray. probably $600

Spares:
new GTA specific steering wheel buttons (current ones are a bit worn, but working - these are impossible to find now)
new GTA specific selespeed paddles (one is currently not working - these are impossible to find now)
spare GTA Selespeed gear lever
spare GTA Selespeed steering wheel
new GTA specific sill plates
spare new set of GTA specific mats
new selespeed actuator spare
laptop with multiecuscan license and cables. I use this to run the end of line selespeed calibration every 6 months or so, rather than take it into the mechanic. Its a 10 min job that you can do sitting in the driver's seat with the latop in your lap. It just keeps the selespeed in nice shape.

recent work:

gearbox rebuild to address sycro wear in 4th gear. new clutch too.
new mounts including the impossible to find lower engine mount.
new wishbones that DO NOT SQUEAK!!
new washer bottle

needs:
due for cambelts. circa $1500-1800
drivers seat bolster is worn through. couple of hundred.
driver's seat has a loose upper seat frame. My mechanic has a spare if it is broken (may just need re-attaching).

If you're interested. let me know.

I'm not sure how to price it. Willing to entertain a trade +/- cash for something shorter and narrower that will fit in my re-arranged garage. Ideally a Lancia Fulvia Berlina Series 1, or a 105 Super. Even a nice later model 75 twin spark with the red reflector (haven't measured that one yet).

still available.

booked in to Maranello Pursang for a cambelt and some other love next week. All work will push up my price expectations (which were very reasonable). If you would do any of the work listed in my first post yourself, I'd encourage you to reach out to secure the car more cheaply

I took a bunch of photos/videos

https://photos.app.goo.gl/sh8P8tVzYn2AGLPT8

and a document with my spare parts stash for this car:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qoERwZgNZyQKhKlNsYYkZDphCQlKcjUCDDQ7_0ByuEw/edit?usp=sharing

I have over $20k in documented receipts from maranello for this car over the last 11.5 years of ownership, and I often source parts myself, so you could add another $5k to that easily.

Ok

Service, cambelts and a couple of minor issues sorted, seat frame and leather repaired. Ready to go.

Easily over $2k in parts, most of them no longer available.

Lots of near offers but this is my *firm* price now.

$x and I keep the parts and I'll sell them over time.

$x for the whole lot.

Thanks

Adam

I ended up doing a bunch more work to the GTA.

See below excerpt from my invoice (without prices to protect my mechanic). I had a bunch of the new parts fitted, and also replaced a bunch more things, to make it ready to go. Cam cover gaskets, outer CV boots and other things. Basically anything that was needed doing, was done.

It cost me more money to get all this done, but I will keep the price to $x firm. Thats a substantial discount. Will include everything else I have for the car, as listed in the google doc, which is still a couple of grand worth of kit.

I've had a few interested parties, some close offers, but I know this is well priced, and well sorted now.

Paint the bonnet if you want to, (or wait), and rock and roll for years of fun motoring.
