Sombrero for a Spider

The rag tops on Spiders are prone to suffer from the effects of the weather, especially the Aussie sun :-(
For a car that (unfortunately) often gets parked out side during the day, the sun is a menace!
So I'm looking for a sun shade that will cover the windows and the roof too. But it doesn't need to cover the whole car.
As long as it covers the roof and windows, it should be ideal. Being smaller than a full cover, it ought to be easy to put on and easy to stow too - which is also important for a Spider, due to the small boot space!

But it needs to provide heavy UV protection.

Any leads ... ?

Hi ACE
Not sure whether a suitable cover is available for the Spider. However I recommend  that you speak to your local car upholsterer and see if he can manufacture a tailored slip over cover for your car top when in the parked position. I would use suitable material that is UV resistant to sunlight and preferably water, similar to moleskin (refer to link). The cover needs to be secured and anti theft proof with several securing ties within car. (design brief)

Thanks Bonno,

Hopefully they already exist, so I'll wait and see if something turns up.
Otherwise I might try a DIY solution.
