Dyno Day - 21st June 2014
« on: May 13, 2014, 09:19:32 PM »
Whether you drive a Berlina, Boxster or Bongo Van this event is a must to measure those all important horses.

Location:        Beninca Motors,    581 Canterbury Road,    Surrey Hills.
         Note: entrance in Sterling Crescent.

Start Time:             10.00 am sharp on Saturday 21st June

This popular annual activity is a must for members and new members most welcome.  Any type of car may be tested on the dyno, from sport, family car or race car.

Cost per car is $40.00 and this includes BBQ lunch and light refreshment.

In order to assist with the DYNO set up and testing, itís most essential for the grouping of vehicles as follows:
  • Firstly Front wheel drive from 10 am
  • Followed by Rear wheel drive from appox. 11am.
  • Finally AWD around lunch time.

We expect about 40 cars so - to ensure there are minimal delays we will have a few simple rules on the day:
  • Please ensure that all vehicles are legally parked at all times.
  • As per usual process, vehicles are to be parked along Stirling Crescent ensuring easy access into the workshop.  This is our entrance point and the Canterbury Road workshop will be our exit.
  • Cars with trailers (e.g. race cars) a will then be parked in Canterbury Road until required for dyno testing.  Stirling Crescent will be kept clear for all other traffic.
  • Once cars are tested, please park in Canterbury Road environs in order for other vehicles to be assembled in the street.

Bookings a must so please PM me with a. your name, b. your mobile number and c. your car details.

Thanks, and look forward to seeing you there.

Should be an interesting day.

Can't wait to see what my 156 has got under the hood.

You better make me last, wouldn't want to bust up the dyno with all my horses before anyone else gets a chance to be on the dyno  ;)

Had a great day! Nice to meet a few new faces.

Your car nearly flew off that dyno with all that HP Krys!

I told Shu nothing, although word is now out on the street about your ball-tearing motor...

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Dyno Day on Saturday! It was a good turn-out with around 40 cars clearing out the cobwebs on the Dyno. Thankfully no cars launched themselves off the dyno (despite even Krys_Raw's 156 JTS putting down some serious untamed horses). The results will be posted in the coming Club Magazine.

Special thanks to ColCol for managing the chaos out on the street and thanks to John H for the handy BBQ work.

This was my first club organised event where I met a good number of Alfa owners. Thanks Bix.
Very well run and I am pleased with my sedate touring car!

LOL!

Only if you put your place your balls on the fly wheel  :o

I'm all good with my 156 being a show pony rather than a race horse  ;D
